Our Mission

The Substance-Free LPC initiative is supported by the nonprofit, Bay Area Community Resources, a health and education nonprofit that serves the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It is driven by current students and alumni of Las Positas College, the community college of the Tri-Valley region.

Las Positas College serves over 7,000 students each year students from Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, Tracy, Fremont, and other surrounding cities. We believe these students, as well as faculty, staff, and community members that work, live, and play on this campus deserve access to a smoke-free, clean air environment as a basic right.

We are speaking out at city council and school site meetings, tabling at local community events, gathering petitions and collecting research surveys, educating our local stakeholders and rallying our student body to achieve this vision.
